Water Damage Mitigation

Fast water mitigation limits structural damage and prevents secondary issues like mold growth. Our Lawrenceburg crews arrive with truck-mounted extraction units and commercial dryers to pull moisture from floors, walls, and cavities quickly. We document every step for a smooth insurance claim process.

Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration

House fires leave behind soot, odor, and hidden structural damage that can linger for months if not treated correctly. Our team assesses fire and smoke damage throughout your Lawrenceburg home, removes charred materials, and uses professional deodorization equipment to eliminate embedded smoke odors. We restore affected rooms to pre-loss condition.

Mold Remediation

Mold spreads fast in Tennessee’s humid climate, especially in crawl spaces and basements common to Lawrence County homes. CAMCO’s certified mold remediation technicians identify the moisture source, contain the affected area, and safely remove all mold colonies. We verify clearance with post-remediation testing before closing the work.

Storm Damage Restoration

Severe storms in southern Middle Tennessee can tear off roofing, break windows, and drive water deep into wall cavities. Our Lawrenceburg storm damage team responds quickly to secure your property, remove debris, and begin structural drying before additional damage sets in. We handle everything from tarping to full interior repairs.

Flood Damage Restoration

Flooding near Shoal Creek and other low-lying areas in Lawrence County can push contaminated water into homes with little warning. CAMCO handles floodwater extraction, category-appropriate sanitation, and complete drying of all affected materials. Our team works directly with your insurance adjuster to document losses accurately.

Reconstruction Services

After mitigation is complete, many Lawrenceburg homeowners need full reconstruction of damaged drywall, flooring, cabinetry, and structural framing. CAMCO’s in-house reconstruction team picks up right where the restoration work ends, eliminating the need to hire a separate contractor. We rebuild to code and finish on schedule.

Common Problems We Fix for Lawrenceburg Property Owners

Lawrenceburg homes face a range of property damage risks driven by local weather, aging infrastructure, and regional soil conditions. Knowing what to watch for can help you act before a small problem becomes a costly repair.

Water Damage from Plumbing Failures and Storms

Burst pipes, failed water heaters, and supply line breaks are among the most frequent causes of indoor water damage in Lawrenceburg homes. Older homes in the downtown and West Gaines Street corridors often have aging plumbing that becomes vulnerable during hard winter freezes. Warning signs include water stains on ceilings, soft flooring, and musty odors in lower levels. Our team extracts standing water, dries all structural cavities, and restores damaged materials to prevent long-term deterioration.

Fire and Smoke-Related Damage

Kitchen fires are the leading cause of residential fire damage in Lawrence County, and even a small grease fire can push smoke and soot into walls, ductwork, and adjacent rooms. Homes with older HVAC systems are especially at risk of distributing smoke odors throughout the structure quickly. Visible char and persistent odor are clear warning signs that professional restoration is needed. CAMCO removes damaged materials, treats affected surfaces, and uses thermal fogging to eliminate odors that standard cleaning cannot reach.

Mold Growth in Damp Basements and Crawl Spaces

Lawrence County’s humidity levels and the clay-heavy soils around Lawrenceburg create persistently damp conditions beneath many homes. Crawl spaces and block-foundation basements trap moisture from ground vapor and minor flooding events, making mold growth a common problem even when no major water event has occurred. Watch for musty odors, visible dark spots on joists or insulation, and allergy symptoms that worsen indoors. CAMCO identifies the moisture source, remediates the mold colony, and installs vapor barriers or drainage solutions to prevent recurrence.

Storm Damage to Roofs, Siding, and Windows

Severe thunderstorms and occasional tornado-warned events move through southern Middle Tennessee regularly, bringing hail, high winds, and heavy rain that can compromise roofing, siding, and window seals in a matter of minutes. Lawrenceburg’s mix of older wood-frame homes and newer construction both face storm vulnerability, particularly during spring storm season. Signs of damage include missing shingles, dented gutters, cracked siding, and water intrusion around windows after rain. CAMCO secures the structure immediately, then completes full storm damage restoration to bring the property back to pre-storm condition.

Camco and their PM Taylor have been amazing to work with. I am in a rental, through a large company. Often times the most unprofessional techs show up and explain very little. Taylor was kind and professional. There was clear communication every step of their scheduling process as well as work. Taylor even left my garage and the area of work cleaner than when work was started. Won't hesitate to use Camco for future project.

Taylor and Anthony with were absolutely wonderful to work with during a stressful water issue in my home. They communicated clearly every step of the way and always made sure I understood what was being done and why. They were quick to respond, personable, professional, and incredibly thorough throughout the entire process. What really stood out was how dedicated they were to making sure everything was completely taken care of. They came by daily for 3 days to check the progress and took extra care to test and ensure there was no moisture left behind. Their attention to detail and consistency gave me a lot of peace of mind. I truly appreciated their hard work, professionalism, and kindness, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

When the ice storm of 2026 happened in Nashville, it damaged one of apartments from bursting pipes and water. I was told to find a "water mitigation" company by my insurance company. I was so glad to find Camco, already on another job on my street. They took charge of everything for me and also dealt directly with my insurance company and also acted promptly with great communication between us. Their employees did a great job for us. I highly recommend their services! Thank you Camco Construction!

Water Damage in a condo from a neighboring unit is never easy. I called CamCo the very night the water from upstairs was running through our smoke alarm. We discovered it was in our linen and hallway closests, in our kitchen cabinets upper and lower. A MESS! CamCo came and put in the dehumidifiers and took thermal picutures immediately. FINEALLY after playing pingpong with the other owners insurance, Our insurance made the claim and we were approved for every thing from asbestos abatement thru demo and reconstruction. Ryan, who is no longer there, Daniel McCurty who picked up Ryans place, Clint Cauthon and his team including Manor and Able (and a host of others I dont know the names of) did an excellent job of putting our Condo at Versailles Townhomes back togethter! As a past HOA Board member I had recommended CamCo and thier team company OneTom Plumbing many times. To my knowledge every workorder was completed professionally and at a fair price. As a Homeowner that experienced this calamity personally I can recommend them completely. If you have read this far I will give you a bit more. My husband was hospitalized for a broken leg when the originating event occured. In January he had a Liver Transplant and was just getting ready to come home after 122 days in the hospital when the work was approved and began. CamCo was extremely sensitive about all of our needs and we were actually able to be here through the entire experience. CamCo went way more than the extra mile. I will forever be grateful to this great team!

From the initial call to CAMCO to the very end, the process went smoothly. Everyone was fantastic, and customer service was excellent. The 3 project managers were excellent and communications was timely and clear. As for the sub-contractors, they were the best and ensured that the end result was top notch and the mess was cleaned up as if they were never there. I would highly recommend CAMCO for you construction and restoration needs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Costs in Lawrenceburg typically range from $1,500 for a minor localized leak to $15,000 or more for extensive flooding that affects multiple rooms or requires structural repairs. The final cost depends on the water category, square footage affected, and materials involved. CAMCO provides a detailed written estimate before any work begins, and we work with your insurer to maximize your covered claim.

Most water damage mitigation projects in Lawrenceburg take three to five days for drying and extraction, though structural drying can take up to seven days depending on the materials and moisture levels involved. Reconstruction work following mitigation adds additional time based on the scope of repairs needed. CAMCO keeps you updated throughout the process so you always know where things stand.

Mitigation work such as water extraction and drying generally does not require a permit in Lawrenceburg. However, reconstruction work involving structural repairs, electrical work, or plumbing alterations may require permits through Lawrence County or the City of Lawrenceburg Building Department. CAMCO handles the permit process on your behalf for any work that requires it, so you are never left navigating local regulations alone.

Most standard homeowner’s insurance policies in Lawrenceburg cover sudden and accidental water damage, such as a burst pipe or appliance failure, but typically exclude gradual leaks or flood damage from rising water. CAMCO documents all damage thoroughly and communicates directly with your adjuster to support your claim. We recommend calling us before you call your insurer so we can help you present the damage accurately from the start.
