Our Services

Our Water Damage Restoration Services in Forest Hills

In addition to Forest Hills, CAMCO Construction & Restoration serves Brentwood, Nashville, Franklin, Antioch, and communities throughout middle Tennessee. If you are within our service area and facing a property emergency, we are ready to help.

Water Damage Mitigation

Forest Hills homes face real water damage risks from heavy rain, aging plumbing, and high humidity common to the Nashville area. Our team responds fast to extract standing water, dry affected materials, and prevent secondary damage like warping and mold growth. We document every step so your insurance claim moves forward without delays.

Fire & Smoke Damage Restoration

A house fire leaves behind more than visible char. Smoke and soot penetrate walls, ductwork, and personal belongings throughout your Forest Hills home. Our restoration crew removes odors, cleans all affected surfaces, and rebuilds damaged areas to get your home livable again.

Mold Remediation

The humid Tennessee climate makes Forest Hills homes particularly vulnerable to mold growth after any moisture event. CAMCO’s certified technicians locate hidden mold colonies, contain the affected area, and remove contaminated materials safely. We finish with antimicrobial treatment to prevent regrowth and protect your family’s health.

Storm Damage Restoration

Severe storms roll through middle Tennessee regularly, and Forest Hills properties can take a serious hit from high winds, hail, and falling trees. We assess roof damage, compromised siding, and water intrusion points quickly to stop further deterioration. Our team handles both the emergency response and the full restoration rebuild.

Flood Damage Restoration

Flooding from heavy rainfall or overflowing drainage systems can push water into Forest Hills homes rapidly. Our flood damage response includes extraction, structural drying, sanitation, and full documentation for your insurer. We work to restore your property completely, not just address surface-level damage.

Reconstruction Services

After mitigation is complete, many Forest Hills homes need structural repairs, drywall replacement, flooring restoration, or full room rebuilds. CAMCO’s reconstruction team handles everything in-house so you do not need to coordinate separate contractors. We bring your home back to pre-loss condition with quality craftsmanship and clear timelines.

Common Problems We Fix for Forest Hills Homeowners

Forest Hills properties face a range of damage risks tied to Tennessee’s weather, aging infrastructure, and wooded terrain. Here are the most common issues our team is called to address.

Water Damage from Plumbing Failures and Storms

Burst pipes, failed water heaters, and storm-driven water intrusion are leading causes of property damage in Forest Hills. Older homes in established neighborhoods often have aging supply lines that fail without warning. Warning signs include discolored ceilings, buckling floors, and musty odors in lower levels. Our team extracts standing water, dries structural materials, and restores affected areas to pre-loss condition before secondary damage sets in.

Fire and Smoke-Related Damage

Even a contained kitchen fire can leave smoke residue and odor throughout an entire Forest Hills home. Smoke particles travel through HVAC systems and settle into walls, insulation, and personal belongings far from the original flame. Many homeowners are surprised by how much hidden damage follows a fire that seemed minor. CAMCO removes soot, neutralizes odors at the source, and rebuilds structurally compromised areas to restore your home fully.

Mold Growth in Damp Basements and Crawl Spaces

Forest Hills sits in a region with warm, humid summers, making crawl spaces and poorly ventilated basements prime environments for mold growth. After any water intrusion event, mold can begin colonizing within 24 to 48 hours if moisture is not properly addressed. Telltale signs include dark spotting on walls, persistent musty smells, and increased allergy symptoms. CAMCO’s remediation process identifies the moisture source, removes contaminated materials, and applies professional-grade treatments to stop regrowth.

Storm Damage to Roofs, Siding, and Windows

Middle Tennessee storms bring high winds, large hail, and falling debris that regularly damage Forest Hills properties. The area’s mature tree canopy, while beautiful, increases the risk of limb impacts on rooflines and siding during severe weather. Cracked shingles, dented gutters, and broken seals around windows allow water to enter walls and attic spaces quickly. CAMCO performs thorough post-storm assessments, documents all damage for insurance, and handles repairs from roof to foundation.

Camco and their PM Taylor have been amazing to work with. I am in a rental, through a large company. Often times the most unprofessional techs show up and explain very little. Taylor was kind and professional. There was clear communication every step of their scheduling process as well as work. Taylor even left my garage and the area of work cleaner than when work was started. Won't hesitate to use Camco for future project.

Taylor and Anthony with were absolutely wonderful to work with during a stressful water issue in my home. They communicated clearly every step of the way and always made sure I understood what was being done and why. They were quick to respond, personable, professional, and incredibly thorough throughout the entire process. What really stood out was how dedicated they were to making sure everything was completely taken care of. They came by daily for 3 days to check the progress and took extra care to test and ensure there was no moisture left behind. Their attention to detail and consistency gave me a lot of peace of mind. I truly appreciated their hard work, professionalism, and kindness, and would highly recommend them to anyone.

When the ice storm of 2026 happened in Nashville, it damaged one of apartments from bursting pipes and water. I was told to find a "water mitigation" company by my insurance company. I was so glad to find Camco, already on another job on my street. They took charge of everything for me and also dealt directly with my insurance company and also acted promptly with great communication between us. Their employees did a great job for us. I highly recommend their services! Thank you Camco Construction!

Water Damage in a condo from a neighboring unit is never easy. I called CamCo the very night the water from upstairs was running through our smoke alarm. We discovered it was in our linen and hallway closests, in our kitchen cabinets upper and lower. A MESS! CamCo came and put in the dehumidifiers and took thermal picutures immediately. FINEALLY after playing pingpong with the other owners insurance, Our insurance made the claim and we were approved for every thing from asbestos abatement thru demo and reconstruction. Ryan, who is no longer there, Daniel McCurty who picked up Ryans place, Clint Cauthon and his team including Manor and Able (and a host of others I dont know the names of) did an excellent job of putting our Condo at Versailles Townhomes back togethter! As a past HOA Board member I had recommended CamCo and thier team company OneTom Plumbing many times. To my knowledge every workorder was completed professionally and at a fair price. As a Homeowner that experienced this calamity personally I can recommend them completely. If you have read this far I will give you a bit more. My husband was hospitalized for a broken leg when the originating event occured. In January he had a Liver Transplant and was just getting ready to come home after 122 days in the hospital when the work was approved and began. CamCo was extremely sensitive about all of our needs and we were actually able to be here through the entire experience. CamCo went way more than the extra mile. I will forever be grateful to this great team!

From the initial call to CAMCO to the very end, the process went smoothly. Everyone was fantastic, and customer service was excellent. The 3 project managers were excellent and communications was timely and clear. As for the sub-contractors, they were the best and ensured that the end result was top notch and the mess was cleaned up as if they were never there. I would highly recommend CAMCO for you construction and restoration needs.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Costs in Forest Hills typically range from $1,500 to $8,000 or more depending on the source of damage, square footage affected, and materials involved. Significant structural damage or mold involvement can push totals higher. Most homeowners insurance policies cover water damage restoration, and CAMCO works directly with your insurer to maximize your claim.

Most Forest Hills water damage projects require three to seven days for drying and mitigation, depending on how much moisture has been absorbed into structural materials. Full reconstruction following a major water event can add one to three weeks beyond that. CAMCO provides a clear timeline at the start of every project so you know what to expect.

Forest Hills is a small municipality in Davidson County with its own building oversight, so permit requirements depend on the scope of work involved. Structural repairs, electrical work, or plumbing replacement typically require permits, while mitigation and drying work generally does not. CAMCO handles all necessary permit applications as part of our reconstruction services so you do not have to navigate that process alone.

Most standard homeowner’s insurance policies in Forest Hills cover sudden and accidental water damage, such as burst pipes or appliance failures, but typically exclude flood damage from rising groundwater. CAMCO documents all damage thoroughly and communicates directly with your adjuster to support your claim. We recommend calling us before you call your insurer so we can help you capture everything properly from the start.
